Filming Hacienda, designed by Muselab in Coimbatore, was an enriching experience, blending architectural innovation with cultural depth. The project’s first foray into Coimbatore presented an opportunity to showcase South Indian heritage through modern design. Extensive pre-planning and discussions with Huzefa, co-founder of Muselab, helped define our vision for the film. To capture the South Indian theme, we incorporated a model dressed in a traditional saree, adorned with gajra flowers, embodying the region’s cultural elegance. The film also featured South Indian music to enhance the atmosphere and align with the design’s cultural context. The film culminates in a visually captivating scene where the model gracefully disappears near the pool, leaving her saree floating serenely underwater. This poignant ending not only highlights the intersection of traditional style with contemporary architecture but also accentuates the residence’s cultural significance. The result is a film that vividly celebrates Hacienda’s architectural beauty while paying homage to South Indian traditions, creating a harmonious blend of modernity and heritage.
